All About Red Pandas

Red pandas are small mammals native to both the eastern Himalayas
and China. Sadly, since 2008, red pandas have been on the endangered list.
Currently, people are doing many different things to help the
red panda, such as protecting their natural environments, preventing
poaching, and working with villages and companies to help. In the past few years,
red pandas have been victims of poaching more frequently, causing
their population to drasticly decrease.

Red Panda Information This is a website that has information about red pandas

The red panda, also known as ailurus fulgens, was discovered in 1825 by
a zoologist named Frédéric Cuvier. Red pandas have distinct red
or orange-brown coats with black fur on their legs and stomachs. Most of the time,
red pandas have entirely white faces. Due to the fact that they live in environments
with both red moss and white lichen-colored trees, they evolved to have coats
that would provide natural camouflage for them.

Red pandas are considered herbivorous, with a diet mainly consisting of
bamboo. Although bamboo is the main part of their diet, they eat a variety
different foods, such as blossoms, berries, eggs, and small mammals. Although
they mainly eat bamboo, red pandas are unable to digest it. To make up
for that, red pandas must consume large amounts of plants.
